%X Surface radiation balance (Rn) plays a fundamental role in methods which estimate evapotranspiration, essential component of the water balance, especially when soil surface is kept humid with irrigation. In spite of existing 427 stations in Brazil, managed by National Institute of Meteorology, equipped with pyranometers, we cannot forget its size and that the measures of solar radiation are representative of a limited area. Because of that, the use of techniques of remote sensing to complement meteorological information on a certain place becomes indispensable. In this context, this research aims to estimate radiation balance in irrigated surfaces in Triângulo Mineiro using image of Landsat 5 - TM. Rn was obtained by using Surface Energy Balance Algorithm for Land (SEBAL). Surface radiation balance varied from 307,46 to 649,72 W/m2, with average of 529,64 W/m2.
